## Every app we tried was missing something

We started out looking for a food logger that got out of the way. Every
app we tried was either a calorie counter bolted onto an ad network, or
a spreadsheet pretending to be mobile software. Neither respected our
time, and none of them knew anything about the training, weight or
wearable data sitting in the four apps next to them.

## So we wrote our own

Trophos started as a weekend prototype. A tiny log with a single
requirement: **log a meal in under three seconds.** From there we added
label scanning from a photo, the full micronutrient panel, and the rest.

## Where it went

The prototype answered the wrong question. Faster entry made logging
cheap, and we still had to read our own history to learn anything from
it. So the log widened and the reading moved into the app. Training,
sleep, wearable data, body measurements, cycles, protocols and progress
photos sit on the same timeline as food, and a personal agent reads all
of it, so you can ask instead of digging. No ads. No selling data. Ever.
