Most people who track their health end up with a small collection of apps instead of one. A food app, a training app, a sleep app that came with a wearable, maybe a cycle app, maybe a separate app for mood or meds. Each one does its job well enough on its own. The problem shows up between them, not inside any single app.

## The pattern: a health app for every category

The usual setup looks like this: one app for food, one for workouts, one for sleep (often bundled with a ring or watch), one for cycle tracking, and sometimes a fourth or fifth for mood, medication, or symptoms. Each app was chosen for a specific job, usually because it did that one thing better than a general app would. A food logger with a good barcode scanner. A training app with solid programming tools. A cycle app with cleaner charts.

This isn't a mistake. It's how people naturally acquire tracking tools: one problem, one app, repeated over a few years. The category leaders in food, training, sleep, and cycle tracking are all separate companies building separate products, so a person who wants to track all of it ends up assembling their own stack by default.
